Description
Cyclohexylamine is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other organic compounds. It is the precursor of sulfenamide reagents used as vulcanization accelerators. It can be used as a component of medications such as mucolytics, analgesics, and bronchodilators. It can be used as a flushing aid in the printing ink industry. Amine itself is also an effective corrosion inhibitor. The herbicide hexaazinon and the anesthetic hexycaine are derived from cyclohexylamine.
