Description

Lithium carbonates is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Li2CO3, molecular weight 73.89, colorless monoclinic crystal, soluble in water, dilute acid, and insoluble in alcohol. Carbonates are less thermally stable than other elements of the same group in the periodic table and do not deliquesce in the air, and can be obtained by adding sodium carbonate to a solution of lithium sulfate or lithium oxide.
