Cyclohexylamineis a colorless and transparent liquid with a strong fishy and ammonia odor. Flammable. It is soluble in water and can be mixed with general organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, heptane, benzene, etc. CHA can evaporate with water vapor. It can absorb carbon dioxide from the air in the Chemicalbook, forming white crystalline carbonates. It forms an azeotrope with water, with a azeotropic point of 96.4 ℃ and a water content of 55.8%. The aqueous solution is alkaline. 0.01% concentration aqueous solution with pH=10.5. Its vapor forms an explosive mixture with air.

Cyclohexylamine can be used as a raw material for surfactants to produce alkylbenzenesulfonic acid cyclohexylamine, which is used as an emulsifier and foaming agent.

Spice raw materials for the production of allyl cyclohexyl propionate; Dye raw materials, producing acid blue 62, dispersed fluorescent yellow, dispersed fluorescent yellow H5GL, weakly acidic blue BRN, dispersed blue 6, and dye additives.
